This year, we have decided to take one of our most popular beers, “Super Mash Brothers” and create a four part series with it. The FIRST edition of this series is “Super Mash Brothers: Down Under” which uses our original recipe, but it is brewed Australian hops – Ella & Vic Secret.
We have planned out this series months in advance, but in light of the devastating Australian bushfires, we have decided to host a fundraising event on our can release day for this beer.
We are going to be donating 10% of all Super Mash can & draft sales on 2/17/20 to the organization, WIRES.
WIRES is Australia's largest wildlife rescue organisation. They have been rescuing and caring for wildlife for over 30 years – their mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife, while inspiring others to do the same.
Hundreds of fires over weeks have burnt over 4.9 million hectares of land in New South Wales alone. With the fires destroying unprecedented amounts of habitat, food shortages have increased and lack of suitable habitat will be a significant long-term challenge for surviving wildlife.
It is impossible to know how many animals have perished and it will be many months before the impact on wild populations can be better understood, but ecologists at Sydney University have estimated over 800 million animals have been affected in New South Wales, and over 1 billion animals in Australia since September.
So please join us on Monday, 2/17/20 to celebrate the first edition of this series, while also drinking for a cause!
